GoodWe Enables Australian Homeowners with Residential Solar Tile Solution to Go EcoSmart

Client Name: Australian Homeowners

Location: Brisbane, Australia

System Size: 2.1kW

BIPV Models: Sunshine Series

Commissioning Date: July 2023

Background:

With the recent 30% increase in electricity prices in Australia starting from July 1st, local homeowners are seeking cost_x0002_effective and sustainable solutions to counter the rising energy expenses. Mr. Richard, a homeowner based in Brisbane, Queensland, exemplifies this growing

trend. Having already installed a 6.6kW solar system on his property, Mr. Richard was exploring options to expand the system and gain greater control over his electricity costs.

Challenge:

The major challenge was that the limited roof area made it difficult to select suitable solar panels to meet Mr. Richard’s energy needs. Also, the prominent main road-facing roof raised concerns about the property’s consistent aesthetic appeal when adding more modules.

Solution:

GoodWe’s BIPV product named Sunshine solar tile was identified as the perfect optimal fit for Richard’s house. Distinguished from conventional solar tiles that create gaps with the roof, the Sunshine Series seamlessly integrates with the building’s architecture, generating electricity while maintaining aesthetic appeal. Unlike traditional roof PV system, Sunshine solar tiles eliminate the need for additional PV bracket, mitigating the risk of water leakage and enhancing overall safety. Furthermore, featuring improved roof ventilation and heat dissipation, the product can largely improve power generation efficiency. Mr. Richard chose GoodWe’s Sunshine solar tiles, complemented by their high-quality (GW8500-MS) inverters, as a one-stop residential solution to ensure the safety and efficiency of his solar system.
